The Deep
South Regional Humanities Center at Tulane University has joined forces
with Northwestern State University and the National Park Service to promote
the study of the Creole language, people and culture. The first major
activity of this new partnership will be an October 2003 international
conference to bring together scholars and members of the Creole community
